hey is anybody on this? I was on it for almost a year a long time ago and I started it again. Its okay........
sorry jade for not responding to the posts Ive read them alot but never get to responding. And yes I have taken seroquel a few times, more than that lol. My mom has so many samples of it it's crazy. I take it for sleep sometimes when I get insomnia. Ive taken it for days at a time and I just dont do good on AP's. They dont make me feel normal, thats all I can say.
And hey Im glad your son is doing good, your a good mom i know. You show love which is really important to kids whether they know it or not. My dad doesnt show me any love and I think I just feel worse without knowing it. I appreciate you alot and its good to know people out there are compassionate and loving towards me even when I feel like nobody likes me. I hope yur son progresses and gets better and better. Be glad hes got freinds. I mean I have friends but I cant go out or talk to them (they like me but Im too afraid). Freinds make life easier. Lonely lives are painful adn slow. < which I have had lately, but Im getting better.
^probably shoudlve posted this elsewhere!!!!! but what can ya do...

gabapentin is an interesting med. when I took it, I would take it around bedtime, as it seemed to make me feel like i'd had a drink or two, depending on dosage 300mg to 900mg. I would be careful of driving, doing work etc. on it.

I'm sure he loves you, he's probably like Dad's from my generation. They simply don't have a clue how to show it.

And about my son's so called friends? I think their giving him pot and alcohol. Friends? NOT.
He's been a little off lately, which makes me a little off, and so on.

And your right

Hi again Sam!

Are you talking about the board you don't have friends? I think nobody knows you yet! If they did, they would certainly like you. Except for the rude people. Hah, Can't make em all happy.

Anyway, I do know someone who has a lot of experience with Neurontin, more than you'd want to hear probably. I'll have him post here tomorrow as soon as I hear from him, Okay?! Btw, I just post when I can to people I know or who might need it. Don't worry about if/when you post back, I won't remember anyway unless I think someone needs to answer an urgent post.

And your right, lonely lives are painful but remember, we are in a recovery time and I think thats a good time to connect with people you REALLY trust, and build on that when you are ready. Thats what I've done. I haven't been able to face my friends but they'll forgive me. And you'll be ready to form real friendships when you feel good on a consistant basis.

Carry on!!!

Your friend,
Jade

I take it two to three times a week high dose. Three doses of 1200 mg three times a day two or three times a week.
I don't take it more than that because of tolerance issues.
It's very pro social for me, anti-anxiety, and also has some ad qualities. It's also a bit trippy as I seem to experience things more sensually. I don't recommend this protocol.
If it weren't for tolerance issues would do it every day.

Gabapentin has diminishing returns after 600-900mg at a given dose 4x a day. Most of it is secreted back into the urine.

As noted before, until you have taken it a little bit the whole heavy machinery thing is due caution.

Some people may experienced blurred vision, equally others may not but experience it on its stronger cousin Lyrica.

Tolerance -- its not quite like the tolerance of benzodiazepines, but yes, if you take it for a period of time you probably could get used to some potentially odd startup effects like slurred speech and the like which goes away. (Just my own experience anyhow)

Hence, it may not prove to be a sleep medication or PRN anxiety agent quite like Xanax or the like (which of course has its own greater risk of tolerance of its own type).
