Is this a known or common side effect of prozac and what would be the most likely cause? It feels like my body temperature is hot but it is actually still normal temp. Everyone in the house is complaining about it being cold today whilst im whinging about beng hot!

Manic did you feel hot on prozac I mean temperature wise. Also was thinking low thyroid as I'm always cold when others hot. Mav if it just started with the prozac I'd attribute it to that then. Send some warmth my way if you warm up and you too manic. Love Phillipa

I've had this problem rather severely for several years, from both SSRIs and neuroleptics, like risperdal. I know of only one treatment and it works very well. Take one slice of FRESH ginger root (like the size of a coin) every day. Just break it into 2 or more pieces and wash it down just like a pill. P.S. give it two to four weeks; just hang in there, it really works for me, and I hope for you too.
