changing clinics just because of side effects :(
seroquel incudes scary heartattackalike tachardia above 225 mg, and i need to take atleast 400 mg of seroquel or even 800 mg as maxime described to maybe reverse a psychosis induced by lamictal
i will get seizures, tachardia (heart attack alike side effect), pannick attack, weight gain, sedation
just in the hope the psychosis gets reversed in my stupid brain (its not the brain whats stupid its the people trying to understand a disorder lol)
heres a small list of my nightmare:
Zyprexa 30 mg (no reversal, psychotic hallucination worse)
Clozapine (no reversal, makes my psychotic attacks worse)Better but not resolved:
Abilify 10 mg (still experience a strange mania feeling)
Seroquel 100 mg (propably not strong enough to reverse the damage)
i either get this sh*t straight out, or else...

How long was the Zyprexa tried for ?> Better but not resolved:

Well I hope you get better service, but I still have to say after this long period of time, the likelihood that a short trial of Lamictal has anything to do with your current, lamentable and understandingly frustrating situation, is hard to see from evidence based psychiatry.
The "I will get...." I mean, you know what side effects you have felt, but its describing the entire possible side effect list of Seroquel. That does not mean everyone gets these things and projecting them can make an experience seem more real than it really is.
Its really hard to understand "damage" from a short period of lamictal, but then I can't speak for myself, I've had rare side effects, not necessarily permanent, but indefinite for sure. Its equally possible that your brain chemistry has just simply shifted over time even while you've been on neuroleptics.
I can't explain the odd things that I have to deal with and see every day, I know they're not real, they're just facets of exaggerated effects that people have from real vision. But I don't have schizophrenia so its hard to compare. I have an orphan disorder. Yet it has morphed over time.
I'm not quite sure what to say -- Jeroen, we all feel for you and I'm trying to be as least critical as possible, but trials of medication, I just don't know.... they have to be stuck out with for a period of time until you can even evaluate them or yourself.-- best wishes

you got permanent damage from 25 mg? thats crazy. Have you seen any other cases like yours? I got psychotic on it but it went away. What is the psychosis like? Voices, paranoia? I had bad paranoia on lamictal, also I would see black blotches everywehere at night in the dark.
