Parnate/Gaba

Posted by shasling on January 5, 2009, at 13:11:20

When i first started parnate,i knew a major differance between it and nardil was the increase in gaba,at this point parnate was never mentioned to have ang gabergic properties and usualy used with a benzo.

Now most sites have done a turn, most sites, good sites state parnate is found to have,GABA B REUPTAKE PROPETIES.

Im not the most technical person,so if someone could make more sense of this to me id appreciate it.

My thinking now is simply parnate with te addtion of a gaba b med such as BACOFLEN or the no longer legal GHB would e of value with parnate.

Can someone tell me if im thinking correctly?

P.S wouldent it be nice if the company actualy cared enough to make a 50 mg tablet or so,instead of walking around with 20 tabs.

oh well there main tech couldent even tell me how they obtained the medication when i have on my pc exactly how they did.

Well you sure know more than me which is easy but I thought gaba was antianxiety. I better google gaba B. Sick of feeling like the jerk in the old movie. Phillipa. Sure lots of people that understand will shortly answer.

Gaba B is a receptor type, that gaba can bind to. There is only one kind of GAba molecule; two receptor types (as well as many subtypes)

Parnate doesn't affect gaba reuptake, it does however increase the number of gaba B receptors. so maybe it would be useful if you were withdrawing from baclofen. might be part of its antidepressant/anxiolytic effect.

So would you say a gaba b drug like GHB assuming it was legal, chemical wise,or even phenibutt a gaba b agonist having more open recpetors might bind easier and actualy produce more of a robust anti-anxiety effect then normaly would?

They are slim, but there are some gaba drugs out there and also wondering if used with low dose gaba a benzo would it have a synergy effect on anxiety?

I suppose that is possible. If you try something like that, let us know how it works out.

Yess i wont go into detail of which one,but definatly a gaba b one,and i was much more sensative to its response then a friend who is not on a maoi.

This can be a good and bad thing,i believe the good thing is having the maoi process sorta of re ampp you the next day,you are not craving the gaba b drug,or are you feeling any overload or rebound from it,where as another user might feel common sympomts over overloading gaba b,i.e axniety/slussishness/wd/etc

Bad part is the effect of the gaba b drug is quicker in onset, and this is not always the wanted case, low anxiety is the desire only for therputic affect for me,so any accompanying effects are not wanted that arise from such a potent response.

I read gaba a has no effect here unless used under heavy sedation,so a benzo in a small amount can be kept close to aid a person if the effects of the gaba b med are truly unwanted.

I wonder if nardil had this form of gaba b effect,

d/r,

Curious as to why you were reluctant to offer this information to our new poster extremely interested to know Gaba's relationship to Parnate as she just switched from Nardil?? (Your timing a little off?) Cause I noticed you made it by to critique my lame attempt....

I also forgot to mention that taking parnate makes me rich and handsome. I don't have a published study for that, just take my word : )
I was busy with press interviews.

Actually, its making Goldenshield NZ rich and me poor, and i've always been handsome, but its still a good drug.

I've always known you were rich and handsome, its a well known rumor. I don't need a published study to tell me that.....however, that supposed aversion to nice people, I will need published documentation from your T....
