Lol, I mentioned that in my curious about Abilify post. "Finally a medication that can help treatment resistant depression when combined with novel antidepressants" Side effects include death, stroke, or permanent disability. Seems safer to shoot meth to treat depression they way they make that commercial sound like. Although from what I heard, usually in low doses, there are very little if any major side effects. I have been on my 1 mg Risperdal for years, and I love my Risperdal as also helps a bit with sleep and depression. The commercial should talk more about how it helps boost and/or regulates dopamine levels in combination with serotonin levels with an SSRI.

I think they're just being up front and truthful. It's kind of refreshing really, as I'm tired of all the advertising from drug companies that sugar coat everything.

Any untoward event that emerges during a clinical trial must be noted as a statistical occurence, even if the drug is not responsible for it. In other words, people who take Abilify can have heart attacks, too. And if they do, this occurrence must be reported.
I take 20mg of Abilify. I have been taking it for several years for bipolar depression. I love the stuff. I experience no side effects. The only thing that I find unconscionable is the amount of money the drug company charges for this stuff - $700.00 per month.

$700 a month = rent
for stuff that doesnt even work to feel great
it just lifts depression a little and blocks psychosis some
somethimes does the opposite
for $700 you can pay rent

Most new medications are about $3-$4 a pill, and it varies wildly as to how much your insurance is going to cover that.
Only generic benzodiazepines and beta blockers get down to 50c to $1 a pill, give or take.
And cancer emetics, like granisetron and the other 5HT3 blockers, before they stopped putting price quotes at the online sites of pharmacies, I saw one at $25 a pill.
Universal Health Care!.
mrmph. and a recession.
