If the maximum dosage is 60mg and it worked but it seems like 90 is working better, it has been 3 weeks since the increase. Why? Is it because I am overweight? Or is it because my brain has so many neurons, it takes more meds? lol just kidding.
Why does Cymbalta say 60 is the max dose, when my doctor increased it anyway? Makes me wonder if it could cause some harm. I know everybody is different, but do you know why the increase is working better? DOes it say something about me physically?

No and hey old name is back. Well the first pdoc I had here did the same thing went about recommended doses wanted me on 120mg. I couldn't do it though. I'm not sure why? I want to know also. Love Phillipa

The official information says that doses above 60mg/day do not provide additional benefit. But you're doing better on 90mg/day which is great news. As long as you're not having side effects and don't have liver disease, 90mg/day is okay. Some studies have used 120mg/day.

my shrink put me up from 60mg to120mg why ,because he said he was trying to hit the core of my anxiety. it didnt work so came back down to 60mg now 40mg whithout telling him .cym helps me, but not to a great degree .40 is the same as 120 with a lot less side effects to me.90 mg works for you so not a problem whatever makes you well stick with it. manic666
