What a waste of $33.
Now I just got to wait for this crap to get out of my system.

Because not everything can be eliminated in sewage separation plants and it depends how far out at sea the remaining effluent is dumped.
Of course in contrast to their general environmental policies, Victoria BC used to just flush it raw out at sea. I think (hope) they stopped that.
And then the tide may wash it back into storm drains and further back into places that use well water.
Also municipalities are using more "reclaimed water" to water flowers and lawns, which is as purified as sewage plants can purify before complete purification (yes, with a lot of effort you can drink what you'd rather not want to know... because of water shortages this may become at least a partial option). And so the small amount left of whatever is there that cannot be removed in reclaimed water goes again, back into the ground.
At least this I think is one way it happens.
I know there's some "finality" concept of dumping your medication down the toilet. I don't know.
Anyhow I think that's enough about #1 and #2 :)
Why Prozac ? I hope you're under the care of a doctor?-- Jay

Actually I thought about the flushing part and I think its more than that, the effluent sludge may not be discharged necessarily but trucked to a landfill, where it could leak into the water table unless they have rubber lined it.
Just another guess

Don't blame you. I've been on it a couple times and it did not help a bit. But, for me, SSRIs, SNRIs, NDRIs, etc., don't seem to do much.
Right now, I'm on Remeron, Abilify, Seroquel, Xanax, and Deplin. Remeron is still low dose, so I don't know what that will do. But fluoxetine was useless for me (which was disappointing because it was the wonder drug for so may others).
