Hi everyone,
There are two clinical trail studies of creatine for depression, one in Korea, and another in Israel. Do you think there is any good reasons to consider creatine for depression? Anyone had any experience with creatine?

Thank you for all replies

Well the one study's explanation included abotu everything i know about creatine for depression. I can't speak personally i have been taking creatine since before i was depressed. It is dirt cheap and something that normalizes a paramater; i think every addition like that to make it more likely that we recover is good, and have no side effects. I think it also has been used for parkinsons, and it improved executive function in the sleep-deprived, so i definatly think is has psychiatric effects. My guess is that it helps, but less than the average antidepressant.

It makes me more irritable, which is a shame because my workouts have always improved whenever I've taken it. I don't think the irritability effect happens with everyone, though, so it's probably worth trying at least, especially given the other positive effects desolationrower mentioned.
