Hi, I'm new to this board. After 20 yrs. of being misdiagnosed as just bipolar, I've seen a pdoc who says I'm ultra rapid cycling bipolar. I used to cycle many times each day, but I was on ssri's for years, and no mood stabillizer for years too. I'm drug sensitive and have tried most of the mood stabilizers in the past. He's taking me off ssri's (have most recently been on celexa and then prozac)and having me take Zypreza. The Zyprexa 2.5 I've been on about 7 weeks. The appetite the first 6 weks was severely increased. My ques.: have any of you been on this Zyprexa for ultra rapid cycling? I've always had bad depression, but he said for this bipolar usually no antidepressants are given. I was going hypomanic I think on the prozac.

I'm bipolar and two very good pdocs had AD's in my mix. Still taking Cymbalta w/ Lamictal and Lithium.
Previously was on Symbyax and Lamictal.Sorry I can't answer your question though.

He wants me to go up to 5 mg Zyprexa soon, am hoping it wiil help the depression. When I first started it, it made me depressed, then helped the depression, and now I am depressed. By the way, I've been reading this board occasionally for months, and am amazed how much y'all know about all these medicines and bipolar. Where I live, it's hard to find people with this.
