I've always had low blood pressure but when I take an MAO-I I think it drops even more. I bought a monitor (one that Consumer Reports recommended) and for the last 2 weeks it's averaged between 90/44 and 88/50.
Do you think this is why I'm seeing spots? Exercise always made me feel more tired and out of it, but now I can't even walk my dog one block without feeling faint. I drink a lot of water and have tried those salt tablets and sea salt, but that doesn't help. The lightheadedness lasts all day and I've been on EMSAM 3 weeks.
Just curious if anyone has found Florinef helpful.
Thanks,
brooke

Hi Brooke,I'm sorry you are experiencing these symptoms; it must be very difficult. I hope someone here will answer you about the Florinef. Did your doctor say anything about it or is he/she unavailable (like mine, who is on vacation for two weeks)

I see him on the 8th so I was just going to wait and talk to him then. The nurse always comments about my blood pressure and my doctor just says, "Oh, that's normal for her." Well, I haven't felt "normal" in years and I haven't been able to exercise either, so maybe that has something to do with it? Tonight my husband and I went shopping and I couldn't even see straight (it was like I was slowly losing my vision or something).
How are you feeling these days?

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. You should definitely mention the thing about your vision to your doctor--that doesn't sound normal. can you get an appointment sooner than the 8th?
Tell them you are unable to exercise and why. they need to investigate this further.I'm still feeling fuzzy-headed and having some crying spells. Saw my pdoc Friday and he said EMSAM can definitely take a while to work. We are going to give it a few weeks I guess..
Best,
Roslynn
