Is there anyone out there at are 450mg WellbutienSR a day. I have been taking 150mg morning and 150 mg at night. Also take 50 mg a Zoloft. Problem is it dose not seem to be working well anymore. My Dr. wants me to go to 100mg Zoloft and 450 mg of WellbutienSR a day. And I am scare to take that much. If anyone has ideas please let me know. thanks

I was on a dose that high but not with an SSRI at the same time.

Zoloft is fine in my case. Wellbutrin I can't tolerate. Hope it works for you. Phillipa

I dunno, tough call. Usually I have a lot to say in posts, but you got me stumped.
It would be easier to increase the dose rather than try something else. Scientifically speaking, clinical evidence suggests that doses higher than 50mg are not more effective. Of course we see real life stories that contradict that, so who knows.
The reuptake pumps are practically 100% blocked already at your dose. So a higher dose is not going to increase serotonin any more than it is. Something else that the drug does that isn't known might increase, but not the serotonin part of it.
There is always the option of adding something else that is not a reuptake inhibitor at all. Something with a different mechanism that is not a duplicate of what is already being done. Something like a zyprexa, lamictal, or abilify. Those things seem to have the power and synergy to wake up ongoing meds.

What is scaring you about the wellbutrin ? Is it because of seizures or other side-effects ?
I am on 200mg of this drug and having no problems...doesn't seem to work as well as paxil for social anxiety thou..

Thank you everyone for your help, I am going to stay same dose I have been taking. 150 Wellbutien twice a day and 50 of Zoloft. That makes 300 a day on Wellbutien. But I don't feel I should go any higher. Yes it is side effects that scare me. Thank you again
