Hi everyone,
Just wondering when you take your Lamictal dose and whether it causes any insomnia for you. I just started and I'm only on 12.5 mg. Thanks for any input.
Best,
Roslynn

It totally depends on the person. Some people find it sedating but personally it gets me pretty wired about 4 hours after taking my morning dose. I take my second dose in the late afternoon to avoid any insomnia issues. Its really hit and miss, some days im tired and can sleep more than normal and other days im grinding my teeth and acting like a hypomaniac muppet.
The drug is weird and thats all there is to it.

Hi, thank you for your response. I'll probably end up fiddling with the dosing times till I see what works. Thanks again, roslynn

I take 300mg of lamictal in the pm. occasionally I have had to take it in the am, and I notice no difference. I am very sensitive to sedating meds, so I'm going to assume that lamictal is not sedating for me.

I took lamictal during the AM. It was very stimulating in my opinion even at low dosages. I believe once you get past 100mg nothing new happens.

> Twinch : )Oh man when i went from 200 - 300mg i was wired out of my mind for two weeks. All the classic stimulant signs were there bruxism, being very talkative, generally having energy and bouncing off the walls. Perhaps the mood stabilizing effects just kicked in at 100.
This is the end of the thread.
