I know this has probably come up before, but I'm having a very hard time deciding to go back on an antidepressant, Celexa. I need some wisdom from folks here who have had experience with it. I know all our chemistries are different and some meds work better than others for different people--you know the drill. My symptoms are:
~irritability
~sad, not majpor depression, but hopeless and quite sad, and teary
~can't seem to sit still for a long time
~major anxiety
~PTSD symptoms
~fear
That pretty much covers it, I would just like to get real people's experience(s) with Celexa, as I have tried the SNRI's and they shot my blood presure up. I truly believe my environment has a part, because when i moved for a year away from a bunch of drama, I wasn't feeling this bad. :(
Please help.

Same thing I think I have toxic enviornment and I'm not kidding. Are you back there now and feel this way and it was gone when away? Maybe leave again if you can first and test the theory? Love Phillipa

Right now I am crawling out of my heart---literally, I got home from a smoking cessation class and am so HIGH STRUNG!!!! I am anxious, I have chest pains, and fluttering----docs say I am ok....I don't know...tomorrow I am going to see about trying to find another place to live, cannot take much more, it is giving me chest pains, I have NO space, and NO privacy, much emotional and verbal abuse and pressure and expectations coming from all directions.
YES--when gone from this situation, I was not feeling so sick. My gut is in knots, and I am racing around like a chickem w/a head cut off. My back is in so much pain all I can do is lie on a heating pad.

Hi Annie,
Sorry you are feeling so bad.
If you suffer from anxiety and irritability, an SSRI like Celexa might work better for you than SNRIs. It helps me a lot and lacks the side effects of overstimulation which other ADs can have. May be worth a try.Take care,
Nellie.
