Another poster has done some research on this and so I was able to get my pharmacist to scoop up the only 2 bottles left at their distributor..apparently the manufacturer has underproduced and won't be able to resupply the distributors until middle of Jan.. and was told that supply would be scooped up fast..I would get your pharmacist to grab an extra supply until the manufacturer gets things sorted out..at least that's what's happening in Canada..this could cause people on Nardil to have to suddenly withdraw as they go to renew their script and find out it's not available..that's my understanding of it..

I'm letting my pharmacist know today that the January supply is going to go fast, so he can try to scoop some extra when it becomes available..my concern is they will underproduce again..

Hi Cee,

I'm the other poster that is having problems with availability? Are you in Canada? ERFA, the Nardil manufacturer has not made enough. Apparently a lot of their production intended for Canadian use is being diverted to the US through online pharmacies. Anyways, if you are on Nardil and can't get a prescription refilled URGE your pharmacist to call ERFA the manufacturer. They hold some stock and were more than willing to help out by sending what I needed to a specific pharmacy. I just learned this through an email this morning. Let me know how things go.

My pharmacist tried to order Nardil..none available from their rep..she's going to phone every morning to try to scoop some as soon as it becomes available..this is scary as I was going to increase my dosage, but now will have to wait to see if this sorts itself out..

If your pharmacist is still having trouble, have her call ERFA directly. They keep some stock and will supply to prevent you from running out. They will courier it to your pharmacy. All it requires is a call from your pharmacist. I have found the ERFA customer service to be excellent, although I am not overly pleased with their inventory management/production scheduling...

Thanks Phoenix1..will advise pharmacist..I was talking to her today (there's 2 of them)..the other one wasn't able to scoop the 2 bottles from their distributor..so I'm none to pleased to say the least..I have enough til Jan 26..hopefully by then this will have sorted itself out..but sure opened my eyes..never thought a med could become unavailable due to underproduction of the manufacturer..

They "plan" on sending new shipments to their distributors who sell to pharmacies on 1/15 now. Yes, this supply thin is unsettling. I'm going to make a point about asking my pdoc to refill my prescriptions very early...
