Purportedly, 5HT2A antagonism is sedating, while 5HT2C antagonism is alerting.
There are no pure 5HT2 antagonists on the market, for the same reason gepirone didn't make it (they are likely best as augmentation).

Many 5-ht2 antagonists are also antihistamines which complicates the matter.
The herb feverfew is a fairly potent 5-ht2a/b antagonist with little sedation (that I noticed). It seemed anxiolytic but not sedating.
