I am gonna be upped to the 9mg patch on friday and am wondering if that will make a huge differeance i have been on ephedrine for my diet reasons for a long time 100mg a day with the 6mg patch but a bit worried on the 9mg patch. I am not to worried about the diatary changes since i dont eat alot the way it is just am worried aobut the diet pills. thanks if anyone out there has a experiance i would love to hear. Thanks and by the way my pdoc knows i take diet pills and is against it but i monitor bp daily. Julie

I believe this combo of ephedrine and an maoi is contraindicated. Now that you are going up to a higher dose patch the risk of a hypertensive crisis is even greater.

It's not safe, but I took large amounts of ephedra with both Nardil and Parnate. I didn't have any ill effects.
Since you are monitering your BP, you are at least taking precautions which is good.
