Lamictal - Strange experience

Posted by deniseuk190466 on November 18, 2007, at 8:50:01

Hi,

I was taking 150mg of Lamictal with no real affect and then after splitting the 150mg throughout the day and taking each quarted I decided to take the whole 200mg. Anyway at the end of the day I felt really out of it, sort of staggering a bit and my sense of balance was out, for the first time ever I didn't trust myself driving the car. However after taking a nap I sort of felt quite nice.

I have been taking 200m again in split doses and it hasn't done anything at all.

I'm wondering why I had that sort of strange episode and not since. I'm thinking maybe I took 400mg by mistake but I really don't remember taking 400mg.

Has anybody got any ideas on why this happened, because in a way it was quite a nice feeling.

Thanks......Denise

Denise are you saying you took l50mg quartered during the day and then 200mg?. The l50 plus 200mg would be 350mg or am I not reading this right? Phillipa

Hi Phillipa,

Sorry for not getting back to you, I actually took 200mg I think. I split the tablet into quarters. I've never felt that way before on it and it was sort of pleasant. I can't understand why I've never felt that way before on it.

Denise
