I'm wondering how 2-3 days on Lyrica, 2-3 days on Xanax, or switching them up EOD could work. Does anyone think this might allow a patient to avoid the side effects of Lyrica (ie weight gain, water retention, etc.) and the dependence/tolerance to Xanax? [Wishful thinking probably]

I think that there is a real possibility that this could work and avoid the dependence issues of Xanax as long as you don't take more than 2-3 doses of Xanax each week. Perhaps your work days are more stressful you could try Lyrica on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights and take Xanax 0.5 mgs on Tuesday and Thursday days.
In theory it might work. Let me know if you try it because I have considered doing it myself.
