Definately not lamictal or calcium channel blockers. You may look into strattera/stimulants. Desipramine or nortryptaline might be good options.

iforgotmypassword, I think you need to describe your symptoms better.
There are many mental disorders that can cause dysexecutive syndrome.

ironically benzos help

they seem to unharden me. i have a lot of anxiety, stiffness and akathisia, i have an overdriven paralysis that ruins everything i do. benzos help markedly (but far from perfectly), so that was why i was wondering if i should look back to anticonvulsants for maintenance. lamotrigine has helped modestly before. i guessed maybe via the same way it helps chronic fatigue according to how dr. jay a. goldstein treated his patients. stimulant-like medication comes off as a bit too rough for me, which is not something i can handle the way it tends to happen. i tried ritalin again when i was in the hospital. that didn't work for me at all. and i've tried dexedrine, concerta and desipramine before. they are far from solutions.

i was going to try, again, to get amisulpride somehow. through the government's special access programme. i thought that would go well with lamotrigine... that the lamotrigine would also keep me from developing tolerance to the amisulpride. (by being anti-glutamate) but maybe not being perfect by not having gaba -ergic effects?? i don't know. i think it should have possibly enough calming effects on its own.

its hard to explain how i live to most people, so maybe it is hard to relate. i am mostly paralysed in a mess of confusion when it comes to really anything. i am almost evicted because of my hoarding. its been an impossible situation just to deal with my own living space, anything even just baby-steps beyond that has been impossible to touch in my life.

iforgotmypassword... when you describe your symptoms I can only conclude GAD but when you mention your living situation it seems to go beyond that.

I think you're on the right track... maybe lamictal and some antipsychotic could help to stabilize you.

If you have difficulties persuing in life, establishing meaningful relationships you should look in to possible diagnosis like borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder or schizoaffective disorder. All of these disorders could benefit from lamictal, lithium and antipsychotics.

The most important to get the right treatment is to get a correct diagnosis. Make sure to see your doctor and describe your situation and your problems.

Amineptine would probably work quite well. Too bad it's is no longer available except through the gray market and at very high prices -- the description you offer of the classic psychostimulants' adrenergic effects being intolerable for you is exactly my experience.
