Is lithium cheap without insurance? Say enough pills to do for a month.

Yes, very cheap. Month supply probably under $10.

If you are in the US and have no insurance, you can get generic non extended release from Wal-mart for $4 a month . Certainly can't beat that.

That is not bad at all. Is lithium as bad as it is made out to be? I am currently on 200mg of lamictal. For a months supply without insurance it costs $175. I get my meds at walmart.

There is more evidence of efficacy of lithium in bipolar disorder than lamotrigine. Lamotrigine is a bit of a commodity. A reputation for lamotrigine has kind of grown from nowhere.
There are remarkably few studies showing efficacy in bipolar, unipolar, or other psychiatric disorders.
