Anyone take really low dose of Celexa for anxiety?

Posted by Falstaff on September 19, 2007, at 17:26:08

I am trying 1mg - 5mg/day made me hypomanic.

Has anyone benefitted from a really low dose like this?

Thanks.

Seems strange that that tiny dose could do anything to you and if that makes you hypomanic do you have a diagnosis of bipolar? If so, a mood stablizer would be a better med for you. You say you have anxiety. What is your diagnosis?
Did your doctor prescribe that dose of celexa and have you called to tell him about the effects you are having?

I thought 10 mg was the lowest dose Celexa came in, how do split it to only take 1 - 5 mg?

I'm sorry it didn't work for you. It makes me a bit tired, too. Luckily, I have Provigil to help with that. Actually it comes in a liquid form (who would have thought?) so I have to use this syringe thingy to take it. It tastes Terrible.

You know I think they should make patches for all these meds as to me I feel safer if I can see it and rip it off if side effects too bad. I might be willing to try more ad's if they were. Phillipa ps no providgil when I took it.
