I tried a lot of antidepressant, but the only one which has a good effect, I can sleep with, and tolerate is Cymbalta.
But the problem is that now I'm loosing my hair probably due to Cymbalta. I have to change.
Can anyone tell me which AD I could try, that are similar to Cymbalta ?
(if possible tell me the name of the substance inside, because brand names are often different in my country (switzerland) than in US)
thank you

Hair loss from cymbalta? Well effexor is the only other one I know of. Are you sure the hair loss is from cymbalta? Have you had a lot of stress or thyroid problems or if a female near menapause as they can cause hair loss too. Good that it works for you. Phillipa

I'm not sure of any newer ones that are similar, effexor kind of is but in reverse.
Some of the older ones may be similar in effecting more noradrenaline than seratonin are desipramine or nortriptyline... whole lot of other side effects with those though. Although i've been on nortriptyline without any problems, just a dry mouth.

It's a possible side effect yeah. I've been on quite a few this year and didn't suffer any weight gain although Dothiepin made me have some horrid food cravings.
