Hi there-- I never went above 80mg a day, but I always split the dose-- 40mg twice a day. I don't know if there's a good reason it was prescribed this way. I do know that at higher doses of Geodon, I had orthostatic hypotension, so maybe taking a full day's dose at once makes you more prone to this happening. I would ask about it. Good luck!

I was on 160mg for 1 month. I could not function at all. I tried splitting the dose. 80mg at night and 80mg in the morning, but that was a bad idea. I had to call into work because I could not get out of the bed. Made me lethargic. I am taking risperdal now and it does the trick, but everyone is different.

Goodluck : )

i guess the question is despite the differences in dosage, is it totally abnormal to take it all at once?? also, is it true the tiredness/sleepiness goes away with the more you take?? i have heard that as well....thx!!
