Remeron 15mg So sleepy and tired, sluggish

Posted by AdamCanada on June 19, 2007, at 18:09:02

I took it last night at 3am and now it's 7pm and im still tired sleepy.

i slept maybe 12 hours today as appossed to 6-9 hours with severe insomnia.

how long does this daytime sleepiness last? i am very sensitive to meds.

if i continue to stay sleepy during the daytime there is no way i will continue taking this.

i have depression and social anxiety. we are trying to see if remeron will help for them as well my sleep problems. but if i am too tired to interact with people then what is the point.

what can i expect if i continue taking the 15mg for 1 week?

More of the same

I expect.
It has a half life of 40 to 60 hours(?).
Good for sleep.
I have taken it twice and twice only.

Adam, I found that the sleepiness wears off after a few days. I take 30 mg now and am not sleepy at all. In fact, I find that Remeron actually interferes with my deep sleep so I don't feel very rested. Go figure.

Adam I've read here that low doses make you tired and higher doses the opposite. I tried the l5mg and was also on benzos seroquel and it didn't make me sleepy. And that was what they were trying to treat go figure that one. Love Phillipa

Take higher doses. Probably you may need 45mg. I found this dose activating. There was no daytime sedation at all at this dose.

The only reason I quit it is because it didn't do anything to my depression. Perhaps, I would have been too hasty to assess the benefits of it.
