Hi everyone,
I,ve been taking tianeptine 12.5 mg 3 x day for 12 days now and although the side effects are zero, haven't really experienced any antidepressant feeling. I'm also taking amisulpride 50mg a day which I've been on for 17 days and it has made me feel a bit more motivated. But nothing form the tianeptine. Is it too early? Most people say you should get a response in the first week, not sure whether to increase the dose or not?
Kind regards

I got a noticeable effect more or less straight away, though it may not have been what others would call an AD effect.
I just felt more content.
Do you feel some mildly prosocial effect?
I ask because someone I knew got no AD effect but got that.

I can't say I really get any effect at all, I don't want to socialise any more than before and my mood seems to have stayed exactly the same. I think i'm going to give another week and then increase the dose to 4 times a day.

I think you and I are on the same schedule. I started about 3 weeks ago, 2 tabs at first (25 mg) now up to 37.5 mg. I actually started with hopes to cure my IBS and depression in one shot. The first three weeks I felt some anxiety and irritation. Also, couldn't sleep as well but not very pronouned. In the midst of the fourth week...less anxiety but feel the depression. IBS is much improved so I'm hesitant to stop. I will probably give it at least 6 weeks if not 8. It is has the complete opposite mechanism as SSRIs so perhaps the receptors have to re-train themselves, plus the hippocampus and neurons are supposed to grow which can't happen overnight. I've ready some other posts from other sites some of which have pointed to improvements in the 2nd and 3rd month.
Keep me posted on your situation and good luck.

I've also read that tianeptine works in the long term, 2 to 3 months so maybe its worth keeping going with this one. I really hope it works because the side effect are non-existant. I'm taking the stablon version and the tablets are sweet tasting and don't have anything on them. Hope they are the real thing!
Anyway goodluck and let me know how you get on too.

> Anyway goodluck and let me know how you get on too.Sounds like the real thing. Little, white pills, like pointy ovals with a smooth coating? That's what they look like. I very much doubt it's a placebo. Stablon is just very good about having no side-effects for most people--part of why I like it.
