has anyone had there p-doc take them from a high dose of a ssri paxil 40 mgs to a high does of zoloft 100 mgs without wening down on the paxil just stoping it. The p-doc said that i would probably not have any withdraws since he started me on a high does of zoloft and its a ssri and I shoud come around faster then the first time I was put on paxil 6 or 7 yrs ago. He has also has me on clonazapam 4 mgs aday until I get everything back to normal still a little anxious on that does but handling it.he also gave me Zyprexa if I need it. He gave me samples of 5 mgs if the clonazapam doesnt calm me down enough. But not sure how much to take. Please help me. Suebird

Changing from one SSRI to another is done all the time. And l00mg of zoloft is acturally lower than 40mg of paxil. For zoloft l00 isn't high for paxil 40 is much higher. Look it up. Love Phillipa

I've done the Paxil to Zoloft but I think (was a long time ago) although I took 50 mg of Zoloft for a week or so before ramping up to 100..I didn't have any discontinuation symptoms..
I've done it before going from Zoloft to Lexapro without problems..this is probably due to the fact they are all SSRI's..
