Having this debate with a friend she says that the luvox can work again just keep going up on it. Quite frankly I feel better on lower doses. So what would you do? Change meds or meet the pdocs goal of l00mg by next appointment? Getting confused again. Love Phillipa

I would without any debate of any kind-- or despite any debates, despite any second thoughts or second opinions-- go up to 100 mg before your next appointment.
This isn't something anyone can figure out by debate-- it's something you have to try by doing it. It's kind of like the experimental method-- you have to do the experiment to test the hypothesis.
No matter what the hypothesis about whether the effect of a higher dose is-- you have to test it by doing the experiment--ie taking the higher doses and seeing if they help.
That's what your pdoc thinks is best, and it really is the only thing that makes sense, because the smaller doses aren't enough.
You'll be okay, and you'll just see how you feel-- nothing bad will happen if you take more Luvox. Just give it time to work.

I agree with Honore - every word.
The rule is, there are NO rules. I find debates over med questions to be alot of things but not necessarily that helpful, that's just me. Listen to your pdoc.

PJ, you're not even giving it a chance. You can't know how you're going to feel on a higher dose until you've been on it for a few weeks. I honestly think you should increase to 100mg straight away and keep taking it every day for at least a month before you decide whether or not you 'feel better on lower doses'.
