Does anyone get any help with depression and anxiety from Trileptal?

Trish I took a small dose of l50mg of trileptal about a year ago didn't go up so expensive. But didn't notice anything bad at all. So it might be worth giving it a shot. Let me know how it goes. Love Phillipa

I am currently trying Tegretol as an augmentor with my Paxil. I have only taken it for 2 weeks. I guess I have noticed a calmer demeanor. I have quit drinking every night to see if it is working. At this point, I am not sure I am satisfied. Maybe I need to give it more time. I am currently taking a very small dose. 100mg at bedtime and 100mg in the morning. I maybe feeling more anxious, but that could be related to not drinking at night. I am not an alcoholic, just a social drinker. (Wine 3 glasses a night).

Yes, I was taking 60 mg of Cymbalta with mixed results and my doc recommended augmenting with Tripleptal. I take 150 mgs in the am and 450 in the evening (helps me fall asleep). I have been on this combo for 2 years and it has worked fairly well...still have my ups and downs but the lows aren't as low.
