Ugh. My body aches - my muscles ache - so much hysical pain with depression. My mood today started out ok and then now I'm crying and alone. Maybe it's because I am weaning off Remeron and BuSpar and starting Geodon...?
Here's what I am on now
Adderall 20mg 3x
Klonopin 1mg 4x
Lexapro 20mg (althought weaning off it too)
Geodon 80mg
Hydrocodone 5mg 4xI talked to my therapist and he came to the conclusion that I need a case worker to work with me to find financial programs, etc and to help me work out other resources. Problem is I live in a small town and the 2 case workers they have are full. So they are intervewng a new person.
Sorry to be posting so much...I hope you aren't sick of me complaining.

Hey, I hope you can find the support you need. It may take a little time, but do keep letting us know how it is going.
Theres no shame in using available resources. I had to visit a food bank for the first time this year. Not always fun, but thats what it is there for.
Do you find the Geodon is helping?

Jerry are you making a lot of med changes at once? Is there a place that can offer more case workers for you with a referral? Good luck and keep posting. Love Phillipa

Here's my theory: you stoped the remeron, which is sedating, and are taking the adderal which is speedy. Those two affects are not canceling each other anymore. Speedy feeling can cause anxiety. Geodon is not that sedating.

The Geodon seem to knock me out for 8 hours tho. I've been on the Adderall for years.

I have no idea about that med combo, but please keep sharing what is going on in your life. It is much better to get it off your chest, especially in here where ppl care and can help you with ideas.
Keep em coming. Michael

Who says sleep deprivation can help boost yor mood? I've been up for 36 hours and feel intoxicated and ....drunk.....I'm afraid of my dreams.

A split dose of Geodon is recommended rather than 80 mg all together. The duration of action is 12 hours so splitting the dose is suggested. My doctor didn't tell me that either. And take it with food. 80 mg is huge... I was on 20 mg (took 10 mg/am, 10 mg/pm) to start so just go slowly. You can take 80 and 160 mg in one day but based on all the other med changes you have made, there are bound to be alot of withdrawl symptoms on top of the Geodon symptoms which can not be teased out from the other ones.
Watch out for severe muscle rigidity or a fever and if they occur, call your doctor immediately and go to the ER if things are really bad.
Wishing you some relief soon....Stargazer

I think I would tell your doc that geodon is not working. When it wears off in a few hours, your not getting any affect, till the next pill, which is why its not working. Because of this I was taking 4 pills at 60mg a day for any effect. Even then it did nothing for anxiety, or psychotic effects, like hearing voices,(yes my new diagnosis is schitzophrenia). Abilify did not help with alot of that stuff for me, but I lost a ton of weight in a very short time, while eating normal. Aparently zyprexa is the only one for my symptoms. Unfortunaly abilify counter acts the positive effects of zyprexa for me, I just can't take it anymore.

36 hours-from 60mgs Addys?
Perhaps you should trial Desoxyn-it releases Serotonin, the feel good chemical+Hydro will provide a very good AD combo.
See how you go?
Cheers

I THINK it's the Geodon. I pretty sure it is. After about 1 hour after I take it - I feel very drunk - dizzy - and sleepy but have SEVERE SEVERE RESTLESSNESS in my legs. It's UNBEARABLE. I've had to take at least 4mg of Klonopin to help - and it only helps somewhat since I have to take Geodon with food.
I also found taking 10mg of Adderall helps the restlessness enough to allow me to sleep.
I'm out like a light for 8 hours - I wake up - and the restlessness starts again unless I take Adderall and Klonopin. I also start crying once I wake up for some reason.
I CANNOT bear the restlessness. Last night I was pounding on my legs with my fists to make the restlessness go away!
Someone recommended taking 10mg 2x daily to start with? Is there anyway to dump out part of the capsule??! It's the weekend now and I have no contact with my doctor.
I seem to be eating "normally" now - MUCH better compared to when I was on evil Remeron. I think I've lost 4 pounds in the last 4 days even.
But the restlessness I cannot take. UNless my doctor wants to prescribe me tons of Klonopin I am going to ask for Abilify. I know he'll say to try and stick it out with the Geodon. He told me when he Rx'd it that "If you can stick with it for 2 weeks you're home free because the side effects dissipate."
I hate that tho - because these doctors don't know how horrific it is to "stick it out" when you have severe restlessnessadn feel like cutting off your legs.
Hanging in there......Jerry

You shouldn't even try to bear the akathesia, should you?
Or do you think without (nearly as much?) Geodon you might feel just as bad or even worse?

No, I shouldnt have to bear these effects - but I jsut keep hoping they'll go away and the med will start working. Wishfull thinking can be a bad thing too I guess.
