trouble focusing, bad

Posted by rjlockhart on April 6, 2007, at 14:23:40

Been off dexedrine for a year and some months or so.

Who ever said its better after you go off it is wrong.

I have been on Wellbutrin which gave me siezures! Thats the origingal reason why i started Klonopin, both for sieuzres and anxiety.

Prozac is a joke. I am so airheaded and spaced on prozac, well, just you know that amotivational feeling from SSRI's?

So i dont know what to do at this point. I have been in a darkened mind state for a year, i dont know what to do to get out of this.

Anyone?

I know that Lamictal isnt an SSRI, but its very activating for me. A little bit like a speedy pill. I always have motivation to do mundane tasks like changing the littler box, laundry, dishes. And feel great after finishing one of those tasks, I got it outta the way!

Could you not try reboxetine or atomoxetine? I'm on reboxetine and it has a 'speedy' feel and seems to help my focus and attention span (I don't have ADHD but it helps anyway). I feel much sharper and mentally clear about an hour after taking it. It's sometimes used here as a detox and an acceptable substitute for recovering amphetamine addicts.

Matt, what is your diagnosis again? That certainly helps when thinking about which meds might help.

Thanks,

Matt didn't you originally say ADD or ADHD? And didn't your doc prescribe those meds for you and your Mom wouldn't let you take them? Seems I remember you posting this numerous time. Love Phillipa
