Last night I was scared, but I took the 500mg of Depakote ER. And, I have felt nothing.
Am I supposed to?

I know, I am. My doc is having me go for blood tests so he can try and figure out what my liver is doing. He says I metabolize slow and it seems like my liver is holding on to meds.
I'm sure after about 4 days on Depakote, I will be falling asleep at my desk. It just takes me body/liver a while to build up the med.
Oh well.

It usually takes about 2 weeks to notice an effect. I don't see why he put you on the ER version if you're a slow metaboliser unless he had lots of samples.
