My dear friends,
Ace has been extremely busy with band, uni study preperation, and chasing girls!
Nardil is still working so great for me...I am so so lucky I found Nardil.....
Anyone got question about Nardil, throw them at me!
When i tell you NARDIL is the greatest chemical compound in the worl, you gotta believe me!!!
on another note...i have found an interesting correlation between my OCD and youth. This has made me almost positive that psychiatric disorder results from trauma exposed to us (mostly in our formative years) and the disorders, in many ways, OCD being a prime example, act as a mechanism to hide a deeper emotion....extreme anger for example....
gott get back to youcafe is closing
LOVE YOU ALLLLLL!
Ace!

Ace, I have some questions about Nardil, if you dont mind:
1. I see that you have generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). That my primary diagnosis, with also some depression. Is Nardil good to take for primary GAD? If so, why do you think that?
2. How does Nardil affect your GAD? Totally take it away? Part of it?
3. How long did it take for you to feel Nardil to work on your GAD? 10 days? A month?
4. Are you on the old Nardil or new Nardil? Do you think there is a difference? Or do both work?
5. Finally, do you experience any side effects from taking Nardil? Were there any that you had in the first few weeks that went away?
Thanks, and rock on! Michael

all fine!

> 1. I see that you have generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). That my primary diagnosis, with also some depression. Is Nardil good to take for primary GAD? If so, why do you think that?Yes, I do. Apart from benzos, I would see it as a first-line treatment. Nardil has an all-encompassing effect of relaxation on users. I have heard people say Nardil is like taking 4mg Valium, without memorey loss. Many articles purpot the efficacy of Nardil in this pathology....

> 2. How does Nardil affect your GAD? Totally take it away? Part of it?It take a great part of it away! just an overal relaxing feeling!
>
> 3. How long did it take for you to feel Nardil to work on your GAD? 10 days? A month?within in a couple of weeks i fely more happy and relaxed. But wen i went my folks house it was obvious. Usually i am always anxious to go home, but nardil thwatred that desire, i was relaxed and happy to be their...no anxiety pushing at me to go home!

Ace, thanks for your help. Some more Qs...
1. At what dosage did it begin to ease your anxiety? 45-60mg? Do you take it throughout the day or all at once?
2. How long have you been taking Nardil?
3. Is it any stronger or weaker than when you first started taking it?
4. Do you augment the Nardil with any other meds? If so, do you think any of those meds help with the anxiety or other things? Thanks Michael

Hey!

Yep, I agree with that 100%. And the trauma doesn't even need to be all that bad, just like divorce or faulty parenting, or poverty and things like that.....
What do you think are some of the solutions (apart from nardil!)?
Kind regards
M

> 1. At what dosage did it begin to ease your anxiety? 45-60mg? Do you take it throughout the day or all at once?* No probs at all!
1. Anxiety eased at 45 mg, within one week. But six week was the point where Nardil literally changed my life. Absolutely breathtaking. I am serious when I say words can't describe the impact it had on me at that 6 week mark. It was actually 6 weeks and 2 days i think. But before that it was helping. Looking back I notice at like 4 weeks on nardil, I did things with little anxiety which usually would have had me extremely anxious. 6 weeks and 2 days on Nardil marked the spot of a NEW LIFE.
2. I have always, and always recommend taking it in divided doses.
> 2. How long have you been taking Nardil?5 years now, maybe 6. I need my records. December 2 I took my first ever dose, I think it was 2002.
> 3. Is it any stronger or weaker than when you first started taking it?Well it has, at times, been weaker. This is due to me 'messing' with it. I.e going off it. Taken long term it regains it's brilliant strength. It never lets me down....
> 4. Do you augment the Nardil with any other meds? If so, do you think any of those meds help with the anxiety or other things? Thanks Michael
Yes, Xanax and Seroquel. The jump start Nardil, but i feel that don't add to it's effects. They have seperate effects.
Nardil is the bomb, period!
God Bless you Michael!

Yep! In my case it was emotion abuse by Mum and Dad. I don't feel mad at them one bit but. I know they love me more than works can say. It is in my unconscious brain that I feel anger, not hate, towards them, as manifested through my dream.
See below, I am going to write a new thread on this.>
> What do you think are some of the solutions (apart from nardil!)?Unfortunately, from all I have read and seen and experienced, nil. Medications are the best. But I am intending to research this immensly, and from there on I might find some solutions.

My own experience, extensive research of clinical data/reports on the comparison of the two (and all other SSRI's), extensive anecdotal research........all reveal the same...
NARDIL is far far efficacious, although, usually has more s/effects, at least initially....

Ace I think these are my last questions:
1. Are you still on the 45-60mg dose? Or do you take more? If so, why? What does were you on at the 6-week point?
2. Why do you take Seroquel? How Much? What does it do for you?
3. Thats ironic bec my combo would be the same: Nardil, Klonopin and Seroquel. Whan do you take each dosage of each throughout the day?
Thanks Michael

All cool bro!

> 1. Are you still on the 45-60mg dose? Or do you take more? If so, why? What does were you on at the 6-week point?
nope. At 75/day = 30 mane/45 nocte
I could take less and have same effect. Therefore I am going down to 60mg.at 6 week point i was on 60mg for four weeks (the two initially weeeks 30-45mg)
I quickly boosted up to 90mg, but im preety sure 60 would have done. 60 gave me that euphoria.
> 2. Why do you take Seroquel? How Much? What does it do for you?
25mg nocte for my OCD- it alleviates my OCD greatly (so did Zyprexa, but I was Fat Albert on that!)
> 3. Thats ironic bec my combo would be the same: Nardil, Klonopin and Seroquel. Whan do you take each dosage of each throughout the day?Xanax 0.5 mane
Nardil (mane and nocte)
Seroquel- nocte (around 1am in morning)

I just started taking Nardil and I have to say I am for the first time really excited about a medicine. I like the way I feel allready but, I am not sure about the food thing. What is yeast extract and it looks like it is in everything I like to eat. I'd rather not eat at all than stop taking this but, what is the real deal about the food?
If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them.

I am so happy that Nardil is the right drug for you! I am currently on Emsam and not feeling like I had remembered feeling the one and only time I took Nardil but that was back in 1987! It only worked for 2 years but I don't think it was on as high a dose as 60 mg, it may have been 30 or 45 mg.
Do you think I have a good chance of responding again? I should just tell my doc that is what I want to do after following his advice and getting no where for so long. I can't remember when I last felt good.
I think someone elsewhere on the boards said the were told they could just go from Emsam to Nardil directly with no washout or anything.
I need to feel better than this, I can't even work anymore, I'm too down on my abilities to do much of anything anymore. I've lost hope in ever feeling better than "alive", which is a pretty bad place.
Thanks Ace for your inspiration! Stargazer

Ace,do you get your Nardil from the US or UK?
I'm wondering if your response to Nardil is based on where you get it from as others say the US brand is not as robust as the UK brand.
Just another thing to be considered, some countries get the real stuff, others get the crappy stuff, prices vary in differnt countries, availability of drugs vary by country (amulpiside, etc... theres no consistency with treatment from country to country...just when you think you may have an answer you have to reconsider everything else. That doesn't make this difficult journey any easier.
