These are just theories. I know every med affects everyone differently. However, with that said ...
If you are just taking Seroquel alone (with absolutely no other med), it is hard for me to believe it won't make you very sleepy very fast. I'm not talking about 4-6 weeks, but within 30 minutes. Dosage ranges from 400 to 25 mg, but to me the lower doses were just as strong as the higher ones. I think it is a great drug for insomnia.
Ensam patch. I predict this will become the most popular antidepressant in the next five years and is the start of many strong meds that will be used in the patch form (going straight to the blood stream, rather than through the digestive system with all the MAOI dietary restrictions). Anyways, if you are taking Ensam alone, it is hard for me to believe it won't give you a little boost of energy. This is perfect for those with a lethargic depression, but I'm not so sure it's a good fit for me with my Generalized Anxiety Disorder (gives me too much energy).
Again, I am basing both of these theories on taking the meds alone. When you mix them with other meds, it could have the opposite effect.

Michael remember Robert David the first to do well on EMSAM and only came here to research the med. He found his perfect combo was 2mg of klonopin with the 6mg EMSAM patch. I've talked to him on the phone real nice guy. I know he won't post on EMSAM again he stopped it and is taking l.5mg of klonopin as anxiety was his main issue. Love Phillipa

When the issues are depression with coexisting anxiety you will probably need two meds. Except for nardil which effects gaba (relaxation) most antidepressants won't address anxiety issues. So emsam or parnate probably go well with a benzo such as klonopin. When the depression and anxiety coexist it's muddled situation. Once an antidepressant kicks in you the feel how the anxiety feels by itself. Don't hesitate to use something to address the anxiety issue. I wouldn't discontinue an AD you're getting a good response to because you still feel anxiety. Hard to find a med that does it all.

Thanks, Jan. I keep in touch with Robert through email. I dont know how he is calmed down by 1.5 or 2mg of Klonopin. Thats nothing.

So are you saying that Nardil will help with anxiety?

Nardil increases brain levels of gaba and is also indicated for anxiety. So yes it might help.
