kind of a random question and it's probably a ridiculous one:
I have been taking 150mgs of effexor for the last 6 years or so....Currently I have been without it for approximately 48 hrs and I'm feeling the usual WD symptoms-Vertigo mostly combined with some general feelings of being, "Out of it."
I cannot get to see a psychiatrist (im between 2 of them and dont start w the new one) until Thursday and I was wondering whether or not taking either my mother's Wellbutrin or Lexapro would stop the crappy feelings....Random I know, but I figure'd it was worth asking....
Any imput would be much obliged.

Personally, I think its dangerous to go without these meds cold turkey. I would go to a doc in the box place or local clinic and get a refill on the effexor.

Thursday is a long way off when you are withdrawing from effexor. If you have been stable on it for so long it is not a good idea to let things get out of balance.
Best bet is to call your doctor and have him call in a prescription to the pharmacy. If you have been on it for a long time you won't need a face to face meeting to get a refill. Or go to the emergency room, explain the situation, and get them to prescribe 3 days worth of it to get you to the doctor appointment.

You might be able to get an emergencie refill from your pharmacie. It worked for me when I forgot my meds on holidays
