Is this do to my prior meds or new meds or

something else? I was taking wellbutrin xl 300mg, adderall xr 30mg, zoloft 50mg,klonopin 1 and sometimes 2mg and ambiem 10mg. I stopped taking the klonopin, zoloft and ambiem. I was getting very depressed and finally had enough. I started taking more of the klonopin to ease anxiety. The only problem is that it worked too good and there's a very thin line for me between the dose being okay to the dose causing depression. I tried to get ahold of my pdoc but had no luck(that's another story). I went cold turkey on the klonopin and the zoloft. That was a couple weeks ago. Now the pdoc has me taking seroquel 50mg or 100mg at bedtime for insomnia and i'm still taking the wellbutrin and adderall.I am having a real hard time with this. I wake up and i'm okay for about an hour. The rest of the day i'm a wreck. I feel like i am very high. I can't believe that people actually pay to feel like this?lol.I was one of them.lol Not anymore. this is horrible. Last night i went to bed and tossed and turned for most of the night. I deffinatly had restless legg syndrome going on. I felt every little hair on my legs.My skin on my legs was sensitive.Noises really bother me. My sense of smell is very sensitive.Another quik note: In sept and oct i had carpal tunnell surgery on my hands. I was taking vicodin 5mg and 7mg and then mepergan.I did have days where i felt like this too. My hands are still hurting. So, does anyone have a clue as to what might be going on? I feel like the pdoc just thinks i'm playing games and over reacting. He was so mad when I told him what i did with the meds. But I tried to get ahold of him. Finally, i was able to make an appt to see him right away. That was last week. Anyhow, please help

Sounds a little familiar- maybe klonopin withdrawal exasperated by using stimulating drugs? I wonder if you'd possibly feel better if you temporarily paused or eased up on the adderall? That's not a comfy feeling you're describing.

I'm sorry to hear your troubles. I can sure relate though.

Going cold turkey is almost always asking for trouble. Sometimes doing a slow wean isn't any fun either, but cold turkey is real hard for most people. You never know what weird things will happen. That zoloft had lots of serotonin dampening things down. Now it's gone and so all your senses are exaggerated. Same with klonopin. Wellbutrin was keeping extra dopamine floating around. So with it gone, dopamine falling, and then seroquel to further block whatever dopamine is left, that could explain the restless legs.

It's really hard to tell what is doing what. You are going through withdrawals and adjusting to new stuff all at the same time. In my own experience antidepressant withdrawals usually last 2 to 6 weeks. When I stopped 25mg zoloft cold turkey after just a month on it I went through withdrawals for a solid 3 weeks.

I'm always in a hurry when I want to change something. The prices I've paid for that are high. Now I force myself to slow down, titrate slower, and wean slower.

Thanks for the replies. I have to admit that it is a very scary feeling. As long as all i have to do is lay in bed and not think, talk or listen to anyone talk, i'm fine. But that's not realistic for this time of the year. I noticed that in part of the reply, i think i might have said that i don't take wellbutrin anymore. The only two meds that i'm still taking are wellbutrin and adderall. The new one is seroquel. I knew better then to go cold turkey. I figured from past experience of going off klonopin and zoloft that the side affects would last a couple of weeks. It's been over a couple of weeks and it's hitting me hard. Last week and this week has been horrible. I was thinking of even going to the hospital.

If you feel that bad maybe you should. Is it a possibility? What does you pdoc say about this? Could you maybe add back in some of the zoloft and klonopin? And wean from there? Love Phillipa

Yeah, you're right, cold turkey is hard. And if it is hitting you hard here at the 2 week mark, in my own personal experience that means it will probably go on for another 2 to 4 weeks. And there may even be some lingering minor stuff after that. It is hard I know. Been there done that.
