In reply to requip - any success??!, posted by rovers95 on December 4, 2006, at 21:15:08
hi Mark,
I just started taking Requip and I think I love it. I have been getting energy, a feeling of well being and happiness. Keep getting the giggles. No side effects at all. Disclaimer: One, I just started a few days ago so who knows where it will go, and two, dopamine seems to affect me differently than many others. Whether Abilify, Parlodel or Requip, I always get energy, but most other posts I read report sedation. But, wanted to give you some feedback anyway.
Have not tried mirapex so can't compare.

It worked for my grandmother for her restless leg/akathisia (never was sure which it was). For her it was rather sedating, but then, she was 92. No idea about long term effects with her, since she was only on it for a short period of time. Worked like a charm, though.
Good luck,
gg
