I am on Wellbutrin XL, Lexapro and Lamictal for depression vs possible bipolar. I have started having severe migraines so neurologist put me on elavil. My psych doc is out of town. Any experience with taking all these drugs together?
Seems like elavil helps me sleep but what would be maximum dose I could take with these other meds?. Thanks

The only problem I could see is using a TCA (Elavil) and a SSRI (Lexapro) together for the action on serotonin of both meds and possibly the norepi effects of Elavil in co-use with the Wellbutrin.
I'm not sure it would be a huge issue and I think it might very much be dose related.... that being said, there are any number of meds mixed that on the surface would be a no-no but in practice, they are not a problem. However, if it were me, I would check it out again with my neuro or prehaps with a pharmacist or your Pdoc just to be on the safe side.

The neurologist should know. But the pharmacists can look it up. Funny they are trained in meds and interractions that pdocs aren't. But then that's their education Meds only. Love Phillipa
