I was searching for info on TRD and found this website for anyone who may want to find out about Vagal Nerve stimulation.
For those of you who have exhausted the medication route and feel ready for this procedure or to get more information on it.

I am suppossed to see a ENT Surgeon On Jan 8th for a consult and I have read most of a book specially written for folks who have and are considering the procedure. I am all but go on the launch pad.---It does look good.

Well the e-mail said to contact someone else and that all insurance doesn't cover it and that it is very expensive. Too bad I can't forward it. Love Phillipa ps was told for info to go back to the website it is all there.

I do not know of any "new" trials going on right now .....try going to www.Cyberonics.com -or www.vagusnervestimulation.com
see if one or both of those links gives you some good info. Cyberonics is the company in Texas who designed the device and markets and sells it. True not all insurance covers it or the procedure ...however you can have your Dr. fight for you. It is FDA approved. It is NOT experimental ...hope that info helps!
