It's impossible to explain, but I believe Jesus Christ has given me the strength to function without any meds. I've been off meds for a month now, and I feel better than ever.

Thats great news! I hope it continues. Its getting dark here, I'm already begining to sample the Scandivanian gloominess - aöthough to be fair, I lived in scotland for 5 years and it wasn't so bad. And they don't have snow in scotland.
Anyway cool about the JC thing. Which kind of church is it? Lutheran?? Speaking of which I've been meaning to go for some quite some time...

Oh PS I forgot to mention I quit all meds too over the summer. I'm doing pretty well! I've stopped searching for a chemical solution to my problems and i'm just concentrating on healthy habits (and that includes some spirituality!).... its going very well so far!

A month is nothing. I wouldn't become optimistic until at least a year.

a month may still be bounce-back bliss
some people's brain chemstry does fabulous things for 3 months or so
i hope it works for you
just keep the faith and understand if you have to get back on the meds it is not due to lack of faith but to bad brain chemistry
