Allow me to make a long story short:
Since 5 years of psy meds SEX SUCKS. But it all changed in 2 weeks... I finally SUCCEED IN REVERSING Psy meds Sex side effects!
After trying countless of alternative meds and a couple of well know SSRISex Antidotes, let me share you the recipes that works for me :
The secret for me was to COMBINE different wellknown SSRISex Antidotes and increase sufficiently the doses..
Welbutrin wasn't doing much for me ...
Dostinex (Cabergoline) wasn't doing much for me ...
and Finally Testosterone patch wasn't doing much for me either ..BUT ..
Combining the 3 at the same time and *POW* ! It all came back in a week ! Great sex (Mecanics working SUPER GREAT, good libido etc) WITHOUT stoping one of my meds or even decreasing doses !
Now you may want to know what's my illness and what meds I'm taking :Hypothetised Bipolar 2 with modulated social phobia and possible ADD, currently taking :
40mg Lexapro (my sex life was already dead at 10mg)
100mg Lamictal
0.5mg Risperdal (Veeeery sensitive to this one)
150+300mg Lyrica
200mg Provigil
0.5mg Clonazepam (Ve...eery sensitive)
And since a couple days added:150mg Welbutrin
5mg Androderm (24.3mg patches)
1.5mg x 2 Dostinex per week... badabing badaboom :)
Any thoughts ?
Anyone tried adding one of those without success ?I hope you are happy for me and that by sharing my happiness I'm not "hurting" someone feelings ...

Hi Marty.
You are becoming a walking pharmacy.
You have reduced Lyrica. Interesting. I experienced my little response at 225mg.
I am happy that you are feeling good.
How did you get your doctor to prescribe all of that stuff?
Stay well!

Congratulations, Marty. I'm happy for your success. I think every report of a good outcome, especially after failures, is encouraging.
You've also presented a case of a fairly large multi-drug combo working for someone.

If a person decides to makes thrills a part of his regular diet and try to prolong them artificially, they will get weaker and weaker, and will become bored, and disillusioned for the rest of their lives. It is because so few people understand this that you find many middle aged men and women maundering about their lost youth, at the very age when new horizons ought to be appearing and new doors opening all around them. It is much more fun to learn to swim than to go on endlessly (and hopelessly) trying to get back the feeling you once had when you first went paddling as a small boy.

That would be very wise of my part to follow that logic and accept my fate (no sex life) .. IF it wasn't of the fact that I'm 27 years old and not 70. ;)I'm not using drugs to become Superman, I just want a near normal life.

Hi Scott,> You are becoming a walking pharmacy.
Wrong, I can't walk with so much meds. ;)
> You have reduced Lyrica. Interesting. I experienced my little response at 225mg.I was feeling drunk all the time. I'm looking forward to reduce the dosage to 75mg in the morning and 150mg at night. How do you describe your "little response" ? Are you taking Lyrica right now ?
> How did you get your doctor to prescribe all of that stuff?
My primary Pdoc is young and unexperimented. She is giving me almost absolutely what I want. I'm lucky to have her.

As long as we have the itch of self-regard we shall want the pleasure of self-approval; but the happiest moments are those when we forget our prescious selves and have neither but have everything else including God, our fellow humans, animals, the garden, and the sky instead.

.. Redirecting you to >> Boring Pointless Out of Context Babble Forum. No seriously. What are you trying to tell me ? The only message that I catch is that one should never take as much Lyrica as you ! ;) Are you preaching ? the only itch that I have are due to Lamictal. Narcisism ? I'm not medicating myself to make love to myself, but to my girl friend who has an itch that she want me to scratch... got it ? :)
Sorry, got to go... I just got an erection while rereading your post.. see ya!

LAUGH OUT LOUD!!:) Ah, Grasshopper..surely what a man does when he is taken off guard is the best evidence for what sort of man he is?...if there are rats in a cellar you are most likely to see them if you go in very suddenly. But the suddeness does not create the rats: it only prevents them from hiding. In the same way the suddeness of provacation does not make me an ill-tempered man: it only shows me what an ill-tempered man i could be. :)We use a most unfortunate idiom when we say of a lustful man prowling the streets, that "he wants a woman". Strictly speaking, a woman is just what he does not want. He wants a pleasure for which a women happens to be the necessary piece of apparatus..;)
I'm getting under your skin aren't I? ;)

I'm SO glad you got your mojo back. Hope the rest of your life is going just as well. :)
curious- what did you mean by .5 clonazepam (very sensitive?) I just started on this. it's my first benzo. only been taking it for a few days now.

How long?
Are you currently feeling depressed?
If not, are you experiencing any of the objective symptoms of depression without feeling subjectively depressed? (dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, heart palpitation, sighing, incoordination, reduced sense of taste, feeling cold, tremulousness, disturbed appetite or sleep, headache, chest pain, fatigue)
