Anyone here used to be a nerd before they started taking antidepressants? And then started taking medications that changed your personality for good?

I had the opposite happen. I had some friends before started taking meds, and then I just became antisocial and wanted to be by myself.

My life stopped when I became depressed and started again after I started meds. +20 years, so far so good.

it really depends on the med and the situation. Benzos helped me open up and function; it wasn't so much "fixing" nerdines as it was allowing me to get out and be human. Antidepressants...never did much. Being overmedicated made people stop wanting to hang w/ me and made me boring; avoid excessive medication at all costs.

So nerd does not equal geek?
I wondered if you were talking about drug induced brain damage or something.
Perhaps you mean changes for the better?
Tianeptine has got me out of the house and talking to people and feeling better about myself.

Declan it's slang here for a bookworm or someone who doesn't do what most others do. I guess I'm one. Love Phillipa
