I was told that with VNS you still need meds and can never have an MRI cause of the wire or electrode that is implanted. They are saying rTMS is on the horizon and no docs are needed. Nurses can administer the tx. Love Phillipa

Most of the information about it seems to be connected with Epilepsy as far as I can see, at least in the UK.

I'm not sure if it's okay to post links here, but if it so, here's a link to a good VNS board with a good number of people already implanted with VNS for depression. It's a nice board, and they share their VNS experiences much like the folks taking meds do here.

You can have an MRI done, but you have to have some special coil on your head when you do. I've been looking into this and got a video and information package the other day.
