Hi...I started taking strattra 5 days ago.My doctor thought it might help me with my focus issues.I have anxiety/depression and have been med free for over a year because none of them are of any help to me.I have read that people with out ADHD are benifiting from strattera, even people with anxiety/depression.
What I am feeling so far from the strattera is an increase in stimulation and an increase in anxiety.I am only at 20mg a day but on the second day on it I felt calmer for a while. Now I just feel more anxiety.
I would like to hear about other peoples experiences on straterra for Anxiety/Depression and if the increased anxiety might go away on a higher dose or should i expect more anxiety.I do take 25mg of trimipramine and 3.25mg of imovane for sleep..Thanks....Stann

Strattera made me miserable. When I stopped it I was much happier. Don't know why.

Straterra is a failed AD; it failed depression trials, someone tried it for adhd. I dont know why your doc would try it if you have anxiety; it tends to increase anxiety even if you don't have a pre-existing problem w/ anxiety.
I disliked it.

Also,he said it had some anti depressant properties that might be helpful.I must say though,I am on day 8 with Strattera 30mg, and do not feel as stimulated, but I do feel like my thoughts are worse, more depressed/anxiety.It feels like it is shutting my mind down.Maybe I was to hopeful that I might get a little help from it.I think I will take 40mg in a couple days.I am curious if it might get better at higher doses.I would really like to feel more positive brain stimulation. The kind that puts a smile on a persons face.....Anyway,thanks for your imput...
