My PA told me that Strattera works bests for adults with ADHD, while stimulants work best for children. How can this be true? If a stimulant worked well for a child, wouldn't it still be the medication of choice as the child grows into an adult? And the same for non-stimulant treatment?
I have inattentive, non-hyperactive ADHD. I actually believe that something stimulating would be good for someone like me, who tends to be almost "stupor-like" in periods of extreme ADHD moments. I almost stop moving or responding to anyone around me because my attention is so poor. Does this make sense?

I believe ADHD is the trickest DX of all time. I also was DX ADHD and took Concerta for a period of 8 months. My doc said I was textbook ADHD and would feel better almost instantly. That stimulant only made my anxiety worse. Good Luck

Was this thread retitled? I don't believe I typed "what" as the subject.
This is the end of the thread.
