Posted by tepiaca on July 15, 2006, at 20:34:39

Its weekend so I have a little free time to sleep. I havew noticed big big big memory problems
since I started Xanax 3 mg . These are huge problems and I cant focus on anything . Of course my job is getting affected and eberybody is yelling at me that they had already told me to do something but I dont do it because of memory . I also notice how my coworkers are getting experience and doing his labors faster every day , for me its not the same . I have no retention ability , I heard some guy that that they are thinking to fire me because they dont see any progress on me.
Cna naybody tell me something? suggesttion??

Tep, it is probably the lack of sleep catching up with you. You have to take better care of yourself and make sure your brain gets the rest it needs. Is the lack of sleep just because of the demands of the two jobs, or do you think the concord nardil is also keeping you up?

I had cognitive problems eventually on Xanax. I was at a low dosage (1 mg) but for over 2 years. It happened slowly but I got to that point where I couldn't remember what I was doing or how I got there. I think I'm just sensitive to these side effects.

After I weaned off of Xanax and Ambien, my memory and "word finding" improved almsot back to normal. Whatever normal is.

As engineer in the morning , nothing difficult , very boring , doing easy things , nothing challenging.

As Customer Server Representative noon-nigth. Cingular wireless from USA. A lot of pressure , difficult to interact with people at the phone , using a lot of pc programs . Dont knowing how to help the person almost all the time and asking everybody what to do =(

Hi Tepi
How can you get more sleep without taking more Xanax?
It sounds like Nardil is helping you.
Deep restorative sleep is important.
Alcohol doesn't help with sleep (for me).

I have experienced cognitive trouble wiith benzos, too.

I think the whole class of drugs has a warning that they can do that to some people.

Not sure what the answer is.

I experienced FAR WORSE cognitive troubles- disasters really- on ambien cr. (Not falling asleep, but then engaging in weird night behaviors, including very regretable phone calls, horrifying emails, etc- that there was evidence for but I had no recolection of.)
