WELLBUTRIN W/ VALIUM COMMENTS PLEASE

Posted by corafree on June 18, 2006, at 20:05:20

P called in Wellbutrin 150 for me to begin tomorrow. Besides that, psych wise, I am only on Valium 10mg 3x a day or as needed.

The valium should cut down or eliminate many of the common start-up side effects of wellbutrin allowing you to give it a fair trial comfortably. There is a good chance they may work synergistically where the summ is greater than the individual parts.

Well, guess I'd better get that scrip picked up then and try it out. I was ready to back off completely and not pick it up.

I was on Wellbutrin up to 450 mg. and Valium, but not quite that much. The Valium helped the jitters from the Wellbutrin. I had no problems mixing these two meds.

I forget how much I got up to... I hope you're taking Wellbutrin SR for its lessening of a chance of seizures, although at 150 it isnt much of a worry. I think 450 at the end. I took it with Klonopin to take the edge off of it and to prevent seizures, but in the end, it just exacerbated going to sleep and obsessive garbage thoughts at bedtime. Sometimes stimulants are for some -- they have to be fairly mild for me.

I never really knew what it was like to feel 'manic' until today. It was very difficult to function. I can say I didn't feel depressed. I didn't like the 'out of control' in my head feeling.

This is the exact opposite reaction that I had to Wellbutrin prob' 5 yrs back. I thought this might happen.

I really needed the Valium.

I may need to ask my P to go down a bit from 150mg, as I now understand why it is difficult for a person in a 'manic' state to manage their lives.

Nothing's ever perfect. At least I didn't feel depressed. It's just that 'out of control' feeling I dislike. I was pretty tremulous too.

Tks for comments ... will keep posted if anyone cares to follow along.

Got the 'you know what'.

Re: exercise ... I have to be very careful w/ exercising w/ my c-spine extrusions. Can't bend forward or backward, or run. I can walk fast, but I have to consciously remind myself to relax or the muscles will tighten and out will pop the disc to touch the nerve.

I don't live in a very safe neighborhood either.

Does it sound like I'm making excuses. I does to me.

love, cf
