Hi,
I take xanax, 1.5mg. to 1.75mg. and it helps immensely. I recently saw a psychopharmacologist who is famous and he said benzos are the best safest psychiatric medication. Good luck,
Val

Paxil + Xanax was awesome for me for years-with the same mo as you. Another vote for Xanax-it helps me with depression, too. Good luck.

Phobia is fear. So the benzos. Maybe even a low dose atypical antipsychotic? Love Phillipa

I get extremely freaked out in situations where I feel trapped (such as in a performance). Xanax is the best! Xanax with anything I think is good.

Hey Bonnie I used to be exactly the same. I'm OK now - but then - I take Xanax. Being sealed in a metal tube for 25 hours used to freak me too (flying from UK to NZ) not now though!

Yeah, I take them for flying too. I don't know that it is clausterphobia that causes me to freak out, but the feelings of the lifting and falling motions... those are the feelings I would get when having problems with my anxiety. But then again, I've never taken a 25 hour flight, and most of the flights I've ever taken in my life were within the United States. The short jumps are the worst! -Bonnie
