2nd night on lunesta, waking at 4 AM

Posted by jeninco on April 30, 2006, at 10:37:18

I'm able to sleep pretty well on lunesta (2 nights in a row) if you piece my time together. Here's what happens, not currently taking anything else.

Take 3 mg dose approx 10:40, wake at 2:30
Take 2nd dose at 2:30, wake at 8:30

Should I try taking more initially? Or maybe I would have the same reaction?

Can you take it with ambien if all else fails?

Have you had a chance to talk to your doc about this? He/she might recommend and prescribe a higher initial dose of Lunesta. I would not recommend taking Lunesta and ambien together. Another option might be switching to Ambien CR for a longer lasting effect if Lunesta doesn't do it for you.

Good luck,
gg

Another thing are you on stimulating meds? But definitely call your pdoc. Maybe there is another med he will recommend. Good luck. Love Phillipa

I take 6 mg (2 3mg pills), which is OK with my doc.
It is more than the monograph for Lunseta mentions for max dose, so get your docs OK.
