1. REM REBOUND is a phenomenon describe as someone having more REM sleep for some time, and is happening when one withdraw from a X drug, usually an AD, that was inhibiting a part or 100% of the REM sleep while the user was taken it.
2. BRAIN ZAPPING is a phenomenon happening when one withdraw from a X drug, usually an AD.
3. REM SLEPPING is characterized by the fact that the dreamer eyes are moving fast HORIZONTALLY FROM RIGHT TO LEFT TO RIGHT ETC.
4. BRAIN ZAPPING is characterized by a strange sensation in the eyes and an electric feeling in the brain while hearing a "ZAAAAPP!" in the brain. This BRAIN ZAPPING is usually happening when the person is MOVING HIS EYES HORIZONTALLY FROM RIGHT TO LEFT OR LEFT TO RIGHT.
Now.. is it possible that their could be a link between ...

The worst being on PAXIL who is the worst SSRI in term of BOTH REM REBOUND and BRAIN ZAPPING. Followed by EFFEXOR (XR). Now NARDIL, known to suppress 100% of REM sleep, start to give me REM REBOUND AND BRAIN ZAPPING.
Please express your opinion on my theory or work upon it.
Application of this theory imply the possibility of supressing very annoying BRAIN ZAPPING by attempting to suppress pharmacologically REM REBOUND; suppressing REM REBOUND is a thing already experienced with some degree of success.
If toghether we could agree on some degree of probability after studying the theory at the neurologic level (receptors implied in both phenomenon; ACh, DA, HT5, NE etc) ..
I'll agree to experiment the theory on myself; suppressing REM Rebound/sleeps to see if it inhibit BRAIN ZAPPING.
Our success is most unlikely, but just imagine ;)

The only time I had brain zaps was when I stopped paxil. Took the dose the next day and away it went.Fondly Phillipa

Then I guess you didn't had the time to get some REM REBOUND. How did you find the Brain Zapping ? Funny isn't it ? ;)

That's an interesting idea! Did you try any medications to relieve your withdrawal symptoms? (not meds that interact with Nardil of course!!!!!!!!!!)

No not at this time.. but I think Hydrahydramine gives me some RLS (Restless Legs Syndrome)
