Here's what I know. SSRIs make me hypomanic.
I've done well on Wellbutrin in the past, but it made me irritable (I've tried all doses).
I do well on prescription diet pills (phentermine) amphetamines.
I've tried Provigil, but I feel awake and sleepy at the same time - weird.
Is there any other drug like Wellbutrin or good old fashion amphetamines that will make me feel alive, awake, alert and focused without the irritability of Wellbutrin?
I've tried adding Buspar - but it is like SSRIs in that it makes me carb hungry.
I feel like I am going to be self-medicating with amphetamines during the day and Klonopin at night to sleep.
I'm guessing that amphetamines and Wellbutrin both effect dopamine? Are there any other drugs that effect dopamine?

Hi,
I might be going out on a limb, but I've read in the literature that lithium alters dopaminergic function... of course, u have the dopamine agonists which alter dopamine as well, such as mirapex...

Try Parnate. It's quite activating and most people loose weight as opposed to the carb craving.
